「草喰 なかひがし」は言わずと知れた京都を代表する日本料理の名店です。兼ねてから訪問してみたいと思いつつ、なかなか希望する日の予約が叶わないませんでしたが、訪問の前日に思い立って電話してみたところ、予算2万以上との条件付きで、19時のカウンター席を運良く予約することが出来ました。
今回は28600円のディナーコースに、日本酒を2合と松茸ご飯も頂きましたので、〆て税込38500円となかなか贅沢な夕食となりましたが、それに見合うと言える素晴らしいお料理を堪能することが出来ました。技巧を凝らした一品一品と、中東さんのホッコリさせられるトークに、京都ならではのエンターテイメントを実感させられます。
印象的なお料理と致しましては、京都と言えばの白味噌を使った椀物。長年に渡って伏見区に住んでいた私に、懐かしさを感じさせてくれます。またご飯が美味しかった。「おくどさん」で炊かれたお米は絶妙に芯を残した、パスタで言う「アルデンテ」の状態で、お米の持つ甘味と香りが極限まで引き出されていました。お焦げを含めて、ご飯は4杯も頂きましたが、私としてはこれだけでも大満足。またと無い経験をさせて頂きました。京都の自然を満喫できるお料理に感動です。ご馳走さまでした。
