ChefObana Teru (Obana Teru) - A definite eye for quality and sushi skills
Born in Gunma Prefecture in 1969. His father was a sushi chef, so he decided to follow the path of sushi. After graduating from junior high school, he spent his days training at sushi restaurants in Ginza and Shibuya, learning the basics of sushi and deepening his own knowledge. He then returned to his hometown of Tatebayashi to take over as the second generation owner. He later changed the name of the restaurant to "Sushi Obana" and went to Tsukiji for the first time at the age of 32, where he began purchasing sushi with his own discerning eye. His keen eye for aesthetics is well known among his peers.

Sushi Obana has two specialities. One is the rare nigiri salmon roe, which can only be found during spawning season. The rich salmon roe, each and every grain making its presence known, blends gently with the aromatic rice, leaving guests enveloped in a state of bliss. The other speciality, the shrimp bowl, is a luxurious dish that combines fresh shrimp meat with a rich, secret sauce made from the shells and heads of the shrimp. You will be captivated by the mellow charm of the shrimp.
